This was a big day and because of that this is a big blog post! I really did try to narrow down the photos for this blog but I just couldn’t help myself- there were just so many great moments, people and events!
First off I would like to once again send a big “Thank you!” along to Amelia Thorton of Flirt Photography (www.flirtphotography.ca) for helping me out on this one. As always your talent, attitude and assistance are such an asset!
I could go through the day step by step but I think this time I will let the photos tell the story of the day themselves.
The one point that I will focus on is something that really stood out to me during the wedding day. As a photographer, you spend all day with the couple; in this case all day meant getting ready coverage, door games, tea ceremonies, portrait session, marriage ceremony and reception! The reception was under way and there had already been a lot of emotional moments within all of the previously mentioned events but after Eva’s sister sang a song for the couple Eva was given a last surprise when Ian took the mic to sing to his new bride. This stood out to me for two reasons. One because it was obvious how much this gesture meant to Eva (read: tears.. many tears) and also because it was obvious to me how Ian wasn’t nervous or self conscious to sing in front of 300 friends and family. He was just focused on sending Eva his love and that was all that mattered in that moment.
It was a great day with Ian and Eva and I wish them all the best in their lives going forward!
